Lake Oswego has been known for its representation of the arts since its early years.  Depicted here is a Oswego Band from 1896.

The Lakewood Center for the Arts is a central part of the Lake Oswego Community. The Lakewood Theatre was created in November, 1952, when a group of Lake Oswego residents formed what is known as the Oswego Players. An annual Art Festival takes place each June to focus on the Arts at the core of this community.
